Bridges4Change started its quest in the development of reentry services for the sentenced citizens, by going through the system (1992) and finding that the system had many flaws and that it would be a daunting task to keep up with all the new innovations that were being developed for the sentenced citizens. These programs offered no real solutions to the increasing recidivism rate from the illegal activities that were being committed by the non-sentenced/sentenced citizens. The echo was to lock them up. Obviously, no one considered that one day they would be released. This is when the start of aiding the sentenced/no sentenced citizens became a no-brainer.
